We have had a fantastic first week back. Most of the children have come back with super attitudes to learning.
In Literacy we hooked with the animated film ‘Baboon on the moon’. The children really enjoyed the story. They were fantastic at describing how the Baboon was feeling and came up with adjectives to describe what it was like on the moon. They then wrote some super postcards home as Baboon.
In maths this week we have been focussing upon finding 1 more / less from a given number. Some children also had a go at finding 2 more/ less. Next week we will be focussing on addition using number tracks and number lines to solve. Our star of the week is Eve. She wrote a fantastic diary entry about her holidays which was full of detail and used a wide range of connectives. She has also met her writing target. Well done Eve!
Just a reminder it is our class assembly next Wednesday at 9am, please come along and show your support.
Please continue to keep reading at home with your children whenever possible and work on the targets given out at parents evening. Please also make sure children bring book bags every day; PE kits MUST be in school on a Monday; spelling test is on a Thursday and library books are to be returned on a Thursday.
Have a lovely weekend!
